What visa do I need?

It depends on three things: your nationality, where you are going, and why you are going. Enter those details in the search above and we will show the routes that normally apply, along with the documents each one asks for. If your situation is unusual — for example you hold more than one nationality, or you are travelling for a mix of reasons — send us a message and a member of our team will look at it with you.

What documents are required?

Almost every application asks for a valid passport, recent photographs, evidence of how the trip is funded, and proof of where you will stay. Beyond that the list varies considerably by destination and visa type, so we build a checklist for your specific application and mark each item as required, received or approved. You will always be able to see exactly what is still outstanding.

How long does processing take?

Processing times are set by the embassy, consulate or visa centre handling your application, not by us. We publish the current published range for each route and update it when the authority changes it, but a range is not a promise: individual cases can take longer if additional checks are needed. We recommend applying as far ahead of your travel dates as the route allows.

Can I apply with my family?

Yes. You can add family members as travellers on the same application, and each traveller gets their own document checklist so nothing is missed. Traveller details are saved to your account, so if you travel together again you can reuse them rather than typing everything a second time.

Can I track my application?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every application has a reference such as ALF-2026-000123. You can follow its progress from your dashboard, or from the public tracking page using that reference and the email address on the application. The timeline shows which stage the file has reached and what, if anything, we need from you next.

How does payment work?

Fees are always shown separately. The government or embassy fee is set by the authority and is passed on at cost. The Alif Visa service fee covers our review, preparation and support. Any extras you choose, such as insurance or courier, are listed individually. You see the full breakdown before you pay, and you receive an invoice and receipt for every payment.

Can Alif Visa guarantee visa approval?

No, and you should be cautious of anyone who says they can. Only the issuing authority can grant a visa. What we can do is make sure your application is complete, consistent and supported by the right evidence, tell you honestly if we think something is likely to cause a problem, and explain your options if a decision does not go your way.
